Any public entity may dedicate any property in which it has an interest for public use as a qualified transportation facility if it finds that the dedication would serve the public purpose of this chapter. In connection with the dedication, the public entity may convey any interest that it has in the property, subject to the conditions imposed by general law, to the private entity, subject to this chapter, for such consideration as such public entity may determine.
