Cooperation between departments

(a) (1) Two (2) or more departments shall unite in cooperative work in lines germane to the duties of those departments, and the commissioners thereof shall agree on the distribution of the expense to be incurred. (2) The agreement shall include the payment or transfer from one department to another of a lump sum, and the payment by the department receiving the same, of all expenses incurred in such cooperative work. (b) The commissioner of finance and administration shall, upon due notification of the agreement, make the necessary payments, or credits and debits, from sums not otherwise under requisition by the cooperating departments.
