Duties of circuit court clerk - Hospital lien book - Fee

(a) The clerk of the circuit court shall endorse on such claim the date and hour of filing and at the expense of the county shall provide a hospital lien book with proper index in which the clerk shall enter the date and hour of such filing, the name and address of the hospital, the operator thereof and of such patient, the amount claimed and the names and addresses of those claimed to be liable for damages. (b) The clerk shall be paid the sum of ten dollars ($10.00) as the fee for filing the claim. Acts 1970, ch. 527, § 3; T.C.A., § 23-3203; Acts 1988, ch. 666, § 1.
