The council may, by ordinance, determine its rules of procedure and code of conduct, and may punish its members for disorderly conduct while performing the duties of office, and, with the concurrence of two-thirds of the aldermen, may expel a member. The office of a mayor or any alderman convicted of a crime that involves bribery is deemed vacated upon entry of a judgment of conviction.
