Oath of appointed officers--Bond--Exception--Amount--Blanket coverage

Each appointed officer, before entering upon the discharge of the duties of the office, shall take an oath or affirmation of office, in the usual form provided by law.
Each appointed officer shall furnish a bond for the faithful performance of the duties of the office and to account, pay over, and deliver all money or property coming into the officer's hands by virtue of that office. The governing body shall establish the amount of the bond applicable to each officer annually. The requirement for an individual bond is satisfied if the municipality provides blanket coverage pursuant to §
3-5-14
