58-43-9.2 . Any insurer having direct written and assumed premiums of less than one hundred million dollars in any calendar year may request an exemption from the provisions of § 58-43-9.2 . The insurer shall file with the director a written statement discussing the reasons why the insurer should be exempt from these provisions. If the director finds, upon review of this statement, that compliance with these provisions would constitute a financial or organizational hardship upon the insurer, an exemption may be granted.
