A security freeze under § 54-15-4 shall remain in place until the consumer reporting agency receives a request from the consumer to remove the freeze. A consumer reporting agency shall remove a security freeze within three business days of receiving a request for removal from the consumer. If making a request under this section, a consumer shall provide to the consumer reporting agency: (1) Proper identification, as defined in subdivision 54-15-6(1); and (2) The unique personal identification number or password provided by the consumer reporting agency pursuant to § 54-15-5 . Any request for removal under this section shall be made to a point of contact designated by the consumer reporting agency to receive the request.
