Subpoena power--Witness fees and mileage

The director may issue subpoenas and subpoenas duces tecum returnable to any place within this state relating to any matter under investigation. He may administer oaths and examine witnesses under oath for like purposes and to that end may invoke the aid of any circuit court of this state pursuant to chapter
21-34
in enforcing the provisions of this section. Witness fees and mileage are the same as are allowed in the circuit courts of this state and are a proper charge against the assets of the bank examined, payable immediately upon the order of the director.
