Revocation or suspension of paleontological excavation license--Violation as misdemeanor

The commissioner of school and public lands may revoke or suspend a permit if the permittee fails to conduct a survey or excavation pursuant to law, the rules promulgated by the commissioner, or permit provisions. Any person violating §§
5-1-15
to
5-1-20
, inclusive, or the rules promulgated by the commissioner is guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor, and in addition, shall forfeit to the state any interest in all paleontological resources discovered by or through the person's efforts.
