- bearing animals as misdemeanor except as provided. Except as otherwise specifically provided it is a Class 2 misdemeanor for any person to buy, sell, ship, or have in possession out of season the raw skins of any protected fur - bearing animals, whether caught, taken, or killed without or within this state.
