South Dakota Code § 36-9C-24

Examination of license holder or applicant by medical examiner

The board may take action authorized by §
36-9C-23
upon satisfactory showing that the physical or mental condition of the license holder or applicant is determined by a competent medical examiner to be such as to jeopardize or endanger the health of those entrusted to the license holder's or applicant's care. The board may demand an examination of a license holder or applicant by a competent medical examiner selected by the board at the board's expense. If a license holder fails to submit to the examination, the failure constitutes immediate grounds for suspension of the license holder's license.
