Temporary permit

The board may grant a temporary permit to practice respiratory care to a graduate respiratory care practitioner. The board may also grant a temporary permit to a student respiratory care practitioner, but the permit may only allow the student to perform those respiratory care services for which the student has successfully completed clinical competency evaluation. A temporary permit is nonrenewable and terminates three months from the date when the applicant becomes eligible to take the licensure examination required by § 36

4C-9 or upon the applicant's failure to pass the examination, whichever occurs first.
