Licensure by endorsement--Temporary license

Upon application and payment of the fee established by the board in accordance with §
36-4A-34
, the board may issue a license to practice, as a physician assistant, to an individual licensed under the laws of another state or territory, if the requirements for licensure of that other state or territory meet the requirements of this state and if the individual is not otherwise disqualified under §
36-4A-8
.
Upon application and payment of the fee established by the board in accordance with §
36-4A-34
, the board may issue a temporary license to an individual awaiting licensure under this section. A temporary license issued under this section must state the period during which the license is effective. The period may not exceed one hundred twenty days, except in the case of a natural disaster or gubernatorially declared emergency.
