Suspension of license when payment from fund authorized--Repayment to fund required for reinstatement

If the commission pays from the fund any amount in settlement of a claim or toward satisfaction of a judgment against a licensee, the license shall automatically be suspended upon the effective date of an order by the court authorizing payment from the fund. No licensee may be reinstated or issued a license until he has repaid in full the amount paid from the fund on his account plus interest thereon at the Category A rate of interest as established in §
54-3-16
. A discharge in bankruptcy does not relieve a person from the penalties and disabilities provided in this section.
