Continuing education for licensees--Commission authorized to adopt rules--Scope

The commission may adopt rules pursuant to chapter

pertaining to continuing education for licensees on health issues, safety issues, and services that require the use of chemicals or electrical or mechanical apparatus. The commission may provide, by rule promulgated pursuant to chapter

, the kinds and subjects of education and the number of hours of education required. The commission may also substitute experience in addition to or in lieu of educational requirements. The commission may waive any of the education requirement in case of certified illness or undue hardship. The commission may establish a fee by rules adopted pursuant to chapter
1-26
to cover the cost of verifying the required continuing education. The commission may offer a course and charge a registration fee to cover the costs.
