Each nonresident pharmacy license expires on June thirtieth following the date of issuance. The board shall provide a renewal application to each licensee before June first of each year. If the licensee does not submit a renewal application, accompanied by the renewal fee, before the expiration date, the license lapses on the date of expiration. The board shall promulgate rules, pursuant to chapter
1-26
, to establish the renewal fee, which may not exceed two hundred dollars. If the renewal application is submitted after the expiration of the license, the board must assess a fifty-dollar late fee and may reinstate the license.
If a majority of ownership of a licensed nonresident pharmacy changes, the new owners must, within thirty days after the ownership change:
(1) Submit the renewal application, indicating the change of ownership; and
(2) Pay the renewal fee established by the board as provided in this section.
