Use of sick pay or vacation pay to supplement workers' compensation

If an injured permanent employee's workers' compensation benefits are not equal to the employee's salary, the employee may, notwithstanding any provision in §
3-6C-10
, use paid sick or vacation leave in an amount necessary to make up the difference between the employee's salary and the workers' compensation benefits.
