Appointment of acting state's attorney or sheriff

The Governor shall, in the case of a state's attorney, appoint the attorney general or one of his assistants or some competent attorney of the state selected by the attorney general, and the Governor shall, in the case of a sheriff suspended pursuant to §§
3-17-12

3-17-19
, inclusive, appoint a suitable person to discharge the duties of such office during any suspension imposed in accordance with the provisions of §§
3-17-12

3-17-19
, inclusive.
