Any benefit payment that should not have been made, according to the terms of the qualified benefit preservation arrangement and the benefits provided under the qualified benefit preservation arrangement, may be recovered as provided in § 3-12C-214 . If in doubt concerning the correctness of any action in making a payment of a benefit, the payment may be suspended until verification as to the correctness of the payment or the person to receive the payment.
