Upon retirement, each employee described in § 3-12C-1615 shall receive the greater of: (1) The member's retirement benefit calculated under this chapter; or (2) The retirement benefit calculated under the municipality of Rapid City firemen pension fund based on credited service up to June 30, 1982, and compensation up to June 30, 1982. The normal retirement age of each such employee is fifty-five.
