Medical indigency required for poor relief assistance in the event of hospitalization--Application required--Time--Limitation

To receive assistance under this chapter for the costs of hospitalization, a person must be medically indigent as defined in §
28-13-1.3
. The person or someone acting on behalf of the person shall apply to the person's county of residence for assistance within two years of the date of the hospital's discharge of the person.
