Civil action for charges payable--Lien on property--Claim against decedent's estates

If any person in the facility refuses or fails to make such payments, the charges may be collected by a civil action brought in the name of the State of South Dakota. The state may commence an action against the person for payments due, and any judgment obtained shall be a lien upon the real property of the person and shall be collected as other judgments. Any claim arising under §
27B-3-27
has the same force and effect against the real and personal property of a deceased person as other debts of a decedent and shall be ascertained and recovered in the same manner.
