Guardian of placed child

In every case under this chapter and chapters
26-8B
and
26-8C
, if the child is committed to the Department of Corrections, the court shall appoint the secretary of corrections as guardian of the person of the child. If the court places the child at the Human Services Center, the court shall appoint the secretary of the Department of Social Services as guardian of the person of the child.
