Any person not meeting the educational requirements of subdivision 25-4A-36 (5) may be appointed as a custody evaluator upon consent of the parties, and order approving the same at the court’s discretion. The person is still required to comply with the training requirements of subdivisions 25-4A-36 (2), (3) and (4).
