Each superintendent, or the president of the school board in districts without a superintendent, is responsible for maintaining an accurate record of the attendance of all individuals of compulsory school age who are enrolled in an accredited school under the supervision of the superintendent or president. The superintendent or president shall, at regular intervals, report to the truancy officer the name of any enrolled individual who: (1) Is of compulsory school age; (2) Is not excused from school; (3) Has not: (a) Withdrawn from school, pursuant to § 13-27-1.3 ; or (b) Successfully completed a high school equivalency test, pursuant to § 13-27-1.4 ; and (4) Does not attend or irregularly attends an accredited school. The superintendent or president shall include reasons for the absences in the report.
