South Dakota Code § 12-22-19

Official returns or recount conclusive as to accuracy of count--Other issues determined in contest

In such proceeding the accuracy of the count of the ballots as established by the official returns or as corrected by a recount, if a recount has been had under chapter
12-21
, or as ultimately determined upon certiorari proceedings if such certiorari proceedings have been had, shall be accepted as conclusive, the intent hereof being that the remedies provided by chapter
12-21
for determination of the accuracy of the count shall be deemed exclusive as to such accuracy. There may, however, be determined in such contest all other questions relevant or material to the ultimate question of whether the official determination of the result of the election is correct.
