The district must be terminated when: (1) Positive tax increments are no longer allocable to the district pursuant to § 11-9-25 ; or (2) The governing body, by resolution, dissolves the district after payment or provision for payment of all project costs, grants, and all tax increment bonds of the district. Within thirty days after the termination of a district, the governing body shall provide to the department a notice, which must include the name of the district and copies of the resolution of dissolution and the district's final financial statement. The final financial statement must account for the distribution of any remaining funds pursuant to § 11-9-45 .
