Acceptance of Verendrye plate site

The State of South Dakota acting by and through its Legislature hereby accepts the grant and gift to the State of South Dakota of lots twenty and twenty

one, block twenty

six, city of Fort Pierre, which is the site where the Verendrye plate was found and which site the city of Fort Pierre has tendered as a gift to the state.
Such site is accepted for the benefit and use of the South Dakota State Historical Society in trust for the people of the state.
