In addition to the members of the Board of Economic Development appointed pursuant to § 1-16G-1 , four nonvoting members shall be appointed to the board by the Legislature as follows: (1) The majority leader of the Senate shall appoint one member of the Senate; (2) The minority leader of the Senate shall appoint one member of the Senate; (3) The majority leader of the House of Representatives shall appoint one member of the House of Representatives; and (4) The minority leader of the House of Representatives shall appoint one member of the House of Representatives. The members shall be appointed to the board for a term of two years before the close of each regular session of the Legislature. If there is a vacancy, the vacancy shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment.
