Review of criminal justice issues--Annual report

The Corrections Commission established in §
1-15-1.13
shall undertake a continuing study of criminal justice issues in South Dakota. The study may include a review of current felonies, felony sentences, sentencing options, practices, programs, trends, and initiatives. The commission shall annually report on its activities to the Legislature, Governor, and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
