Except as otherwise provided in Section 62-5-708, a court that has appointed a guardian or issued a protective order consistent with this article has exclusive and continuing jurisdiction over the proceeding until it is terminated by the court or the appointment or order has expired by its own terms. Effect of Amendment 2017 Act No. 87, SECTION 5.B, substituted "has expired" for "expires".
