The State Board of Education, through local school districts and area career and technology centers, shall establish, maintain, and operate secondary occupational vocational education courses for secondary school students in public schools in accordance with guidelines and standards established by the board and in accordance with federal laws pertaining to career and technology education. The board shall approve secondary occupational career and technology education courses. Effect of Amendment The 2005 amendment substituted "career and technology" for "vocational" in three places.
