Every railroad corporation, when requested, shall give checks to their passengers for their baggage when delivered for transportation in good shipping order and shall redeliver such baggage to the passengers upon the surrender of their checks. Any corporation which wilfully refuses to comply with the provisions of this section shall forfeit ten dollars for each offense. Safety; Notice of Accidents
