Counties, municipalities or other political subdivisions of this State acquiring, establishing, developing, operating, maintaining, controlling or having an interest in airports without the geographical limits of these subdivisions, under the provisions of this chapter may promulgate, amend and enforce police regulations for these entities irrespective of whether or not the title to the properties is vested in, and the management and operation of an airport is by a commission created by statute or otherwise. Effect of Amendment The 1993 amendment reprinted this section with no apparent change. The 2012 amendment deleted "or landing fields," preceding "without the geographical limits"; substituted "these entities" for "such airports or landing fields,"; deleted "or landing field" following "airport"; and made other, nonsubstantive, changes throughout the section.
