No acquisition may be made under this chapter in any county without written approval of a majority of the county delegation in the county where Heritage Trust properties are to be acquired. Effect of Amendment The 1993 amendment changed "such property" to "the property". The 2000 amendment increased the maximum acreage to be acquired from one hundred thousand acres to one hundred fifty thousand acres and made other nonsubstantive changes. 2019 Act No. 72, SECTION 1, deleted the first sentence, which had provided that not more than one hundred fifty thousand acres total of real property shall be acquired under the provisions of this chapter.
