(A) It is unlawful to intentionally remove or destroy an electronic collar or other electronic device placed on a dog by its owner. (B) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, must be: (1) fined not more than five hundred dollars or imprisoned for not more than ten days for a first offense; or (2) fined not more than one thousand dollars or imprisoned not more than thirty days for a second or subsequent offense.
