Notice of the holding of the election shall be published in some newspaper having general circulation in the municipality on not less than two occasions. The first publication shall appear not less than fifteen days prior to the occasion of the holding of the election and the second publication shall appear within the week prior to the election. Such notice shall specify: (1) The time of the holding of the election; (2) The location of the several polling places; (3) The qualifications imposed upon persons desirous of voting; (4) The amount of bonds to be issued; and (5) A brief description of the purposes for which the proceeds of the bonds are to be applied.
