The standards for water adopted pursuant to this chapter may prescribe: (1) The extent, if any, to which floating solids may be permitted in the water; (2) The extent to which suspended solids, colloids or a combination of solids with other substances suspended in water may be permitted; (3) The extent to which organisms of the coliform group (intestinal bacilli) or any other bacteriological organisms may be permitted in the water; (4) The extent of the oxygen which may be required in receiving waters; and (5) Such other physical, chemical or biological properties as may be necessary for the attainment of the objectives of this chapter.
