Any person who violates the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined not to exceed five hundred dollars or imprisoned for a period not to exceed six months or both. Effect of Amendment 2017 Act No. 61, SECTION 1, inserted commas after "misdemeanor and" and "upon conviction".
