(A) Upon execution of the deed as provided in subsection (B) of this section, ownership of the tract of real property in Richland County described in Section 1 of Act 1645 of 1972 is confirmed in the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, as the successor agency to the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs. (B) The State Department of Administration shall cause to be executed and recorded an appropriate deed conveying the tract to the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. (C) Proceeds of a subsequent sale of the tract that is the subject of this section may be retained by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. Effect of Amendment 2025 Act No. 3, SECTION 9, in (A), substituted "Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, as the successor agency to the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs" for "South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs as the successor agency to the South Carolina Department of Mental Retardation"; and in (B) and (C), substituted "Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities" for "South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs".
