In order to be licensed as a referee, an applicant: (1) shall submit a completed application with payment of the prescribed fee; (2) shall successfully pass a commission-approved written examination. A referee who has a license in good standing in this or any other state or jurisdiction may obtain a South Carolina license without taking and passing the commission-approved written examination; (3) shall submit a statement annually from a licensed physician indicating that the applicant is physically able to perform the duties of a referee.
