The specifications, tolerances, and other technical requirements for commercial, law enforcement, data gathering, and other weighing and measuring devices adopted by the National Conference on Weights and Measures and published in the National Institute of Standards and Technology Handbook 44, "Specifications, Tolerances, and Other Technical Requirements for Commercial Weighing and Measuring Devices", and its supplements and revisions, apply to commercial weighing and measuring devices in the State, except as modified or rejected by regulation. Effect of Amendment The 1994 amendment substituted "National Institute of Standards and Technology" for "National Bureau of Standards" and made grammatical changes; inserted "law enforcement, data gathering, and other".
