(A) A person who serves on the Board of the Joint Underwriting Association or the Board of Governors of the Patients' Compensation Fund is prohibited from being employed in any manner or compensated by the Joint Underwriting Association or the Patients' Compensation Fund, and this prohibition continues for one year after the person ceases to be a member of the board. (B) No provision of this section may be construed to prohibit an insurance agent from selling insurance products from the association or from receiving commissions as a result of selling insurance products from the association.
