(A) For purposes of this section, "medical expense policy" means an accident and sickness insurance policy that provides hospital, medical, and surgical expense coverage. (B) The provisions of Section 38-71-370(9) may not be used with respect to a medical expense policy. (C) This section applies to policies issued or renewed after December 31, 2017.
