South Carolina Code § 25-1-90

Service within State of military forces from another State.

No armed military force from another state, territory or district shall be permitted to enter the State for the purpose of doing military duty therein without the permission of the Governor, unless such force is acting under the authority of the United States Government.
Effect of Amendment
2025 Act No. 55, SECTION 1, deleted "part of the United States Army or is" preceding "acting".
