The State Treasurer shall receive such annual salary as may be provided by the General Assembly. He may employ such personnel as may be authorized by law. Editor's Note 1991 Act No. 50, SECTION 7, effective July 1, 1991, provides as follows: "Except where inappropriate, a reference in a law, regulation, or other document to Chapters 1 and 3 of Title 12 of the 1976 Code, is considered a reference to the appropriate provisions of Chapters 2 and 4 of Title 12, Chapter 5 of Title 11, and Section 12-54-227, all of the 1976 Code."
