(a) The board may waive the requirements for examination of a competent landscape architect holding a license in another state, territory, or possession of the United States, or in a foreign country, provided that state, territory, possession, or country grants equal rights and has at least equal standards, and provided that the applicant’s license shall be based on comparable written examinations and that his or her qualifications meet all of the requirements of this chapter based on verified evidence satisfactory to the board. (b) Subject to the director’s approval, the board shall establish standards for the determination and implementation of reciprocity with other states.
