Civil penalties

(a) Any person who shall violate the provisions of §§ 46-25-25 — 46-25-25.3, or of any permit, rule, regulation, or order issued pursuant thereto, shall be subject to a civil penalty of not more than twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) per day for each violation. (b) The commission shall, in the same manner as cities and towns authorized under the provisions of § 45-6-2.3(a)(4), issue regulations to obtain actual costs and reasonable attorney’s fees incurred by the commission in seeking compliance, penalties, or damages.
