Rhode Island Code § 45-39.2-5

Board of utility commissioners of the Clear River electric and water district established

There is hereby created a board to be known as the board of utility commissioners of the Clear River electric and water district. The powers of the electric and water district as set forth in this chapter, or conferred on the electric and water district by operation of this chapter, shall be vested in and exercised by a majority of the members of the board of utility commissioners then in office; provided, however, that the board of utility commissioners in its discretion may delegate executive functions to general managers, by resolution, rule, or otherwise.
