Reports, use of experts, and costs

(a) Notwithstanding the provisions of § 23-17.14-13, the department of attorney general, may in effectuating the purpose of: (1) The Hospital Conversion Act pursuant to chapter 17.14 of title 23; or (2) Any nonprofit hospital service corporation conversion; or (3) Nonprofit medical service corporation conversion; or (4) Any healthcare conversion; engage experts or consultants including but not limited to, actuaries, investment bankers, accountants, attorneys, or industry analysts. (b) All copies of reports prepared by experts and consultants, and costs associated with those reports, shall be made available to the transacting parties and to the public. (c) All costs incurred under the provisions of this section are the responsibility of the one or more transacting parties in an amount to be determined by the attorney general.
